Day 1 - Session One

Leadership & Team Development

Outcomes - at the end of this session participants will be able to:

  •  Identify their personal leadership style
  •  Understand what makes a successful leader by identifying core leadership skills and key actions
  •  Understand team dynamics and the role of the leader
  •  Coach, support, delegate and monitor progress to develop others
  •  Use practical teambuilding exercises

Day 1 - Session Two

Problem Solving & Decision Making

Outcomes - at the end of this session participants will be able to:

  •  Understand and use a problem solving process
  •  Analyse the risks involved in making the important decision
  •  Understand and use the four areas of decision making

Day 2 – Session Three

Communication & Influencing Skills

Outcomes - at the end of this session participants will be able to:

  •  Identify the barriers to effective communication
  •  Understand how assertive communication can benefit the customer, the organisation & the individual
  •  Understand their preferred influencing pattern and how to maximise their strengths

Day 2 - Session Four

Time & Change Management

Outcomes - at the end of this session participants will be able to:

  •  Recognise personal strengths and shortcomings in their approach to managing time as a crucial resource
  •  Recognise key result areas and ensure strengths are fully focused
  •  Realise how poor personal time management effects others adversely
  •  Understand the positive and negative impacts of Change

Day 3 - Session Five

Managing Performance

Outcomes - at the end of this session participants will be able to:

  •  Understand the benefits of an effective Performance Management system for all concerned
  •  Understand the need to set clear objectives in line with the business needs
  •  Construct an interview plan
  •  Review and measure past performance and develop future action plans

Day 3 - Session Six

Negotiation Skills

Outcomes - at the end of this session participants will be able to:

  •  Create a climate for co-operation and collaboration
  •  Achieve win-win outcomes
  •  Establish the desired outcome and the bottom line

Day 3 – Session Seven

Action Planning & Course Completion

Participants will have time to prepare their future Action Plan together with a short Presentation on how they will incorporate their new skills into their roles in the workplace.
