Handling Emergencies in Oil & Gas Installations
Objectives:
This coarse is designed to train the participants to recognize the importance of safety of the work place in the oil and gas industries and to recognize the need for effective preparation and adequate planning to meet all hazard. It will illustrate and develop the essential elements necessary for planning and emergency response, which prevent or minimize the environment hazards, destruction of property or loss of time.

Strategy for handling petroleum industry emergencies
 
Site specific contingency plans for preventive techniques (detection equipment , fire fighting equipment, fire fighting training , medical aids, environmental control, emergency crew)
 
Fire as an example of a major emergency in the oil industry (identification of hazard,types of fires, sources and causes , fire detection systems, fire fighting systems)
 
Steps to ensure the retention of skills gained through the coarse
 
Action plan to apply the new skills to the job
