Course Objectives :

The prime objective of the course is to help production managers, field engineers and technicians to keep the hydraulic systems working reliably and safely. Upon the completion of the course, the audience will be able to read hydraulic schematics, understand how the hydraulic components work, improve skills of hydraulic system maintenance and learn various energy saving strategies.

Course Instructor :

Medhat K. Bahr Khalil, Ph.D.

Fluid Power and Motion Control Professional Education Instructor. Milwaukee School of Engineering, Milwaukee, WI, USA.

 

He has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's degree in fluid power engineering from Military Technical College and Cairo University respectively of Cairo, Egypt. He earned his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.

Khalil has more than 15 years of experience in fluid power control. Prior to joining MSOE, he was employed as a hydraulic system simulation software developer for CAE Inc. and an adjunct professor for Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. Khalil worked for five years as the technical officer and training manager for Mannesmann Rexroth in Egypt.

Beside his full time job responsibilities, he has a great interest in developing educational virtual labs and self-paced learning modules for motion control and fluid power engineering in both English and Arabic languages.
